Taking pride in the way you prepare and present your food is a clear passion for Carol Wright.

It is all about taking pride in the food you prepare, present and serve for Food Production Supervisor Carol Wright.

Whether it is a breakfast meal such as scrambled eggs or pancakes, a main meal like fish and chips, hamburgers, chicken schnitzel with vegetables, or patient specific molded and pureed meal, presentation is key!

“I love cooking and presenting food well on a plate,” said Carol.

“The staff here in the Brighton Health Campus kitchen are lovely. Overall, they are a great bunch who take a lot of pride in the food that they create and deliver to our patients.

“Each month we have themed meals for our elderly residents at Gannet House based on what they desire. It is good not knowing what you will be cooking until the day – it provides great variety.”

Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or tea, it’s clear that Carol, the Food Production Supervisor since 2009 at Brighton Health Campus, is passionate about food and what she does.

The Brighton Health Campus team provide three main meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a further three small servings throughout the day and night.

Around 150 patients and residents are catered for each day across a number of bedded services at the Brighton Health Campus including Gannet House, Brighton Brain Injury Service, Interim Care and the Brighton Rehabilitation Unit.
