Rhonda’s back at work

Rhonda, back at work at Redcliffe Hospital after some well-earned rest and recovery.

Many people who work at Redcliffe Hospital also live locally and on the Peninsula. Redcliffe Hospital’s Facility Services Coordinator, Rhonda, is one of them.

When Rhonda needed emergency medical care in the middle of the night – she knew her local hospital would take good care of her.

“I have always loved working at Redcliffe Hospital and appreciate all my colleagues,” Rhonda said. “But as a patient, I appreciated their professionalism and skill in a different way.”

“No one ever wants to come to the Emergency Department, but it was comforting to see those familiar faces. But they treated me no differently than every other patient. Everyone was cared for with the same kindness and respect.”

Rhonda is well-known at Redcliffe Hospital for her work with the hospital’s staff wellness group, REDDY Fun and Fitness, where she helps hospital staff and clinicians better care for themselves and each other.

She says that throughout her patient journey, starting in the Emergency Department, through operating theatres, and to Ward 5 West, she felt confident in the care she was receiving.

Back at work now after some rest and recovery, Rhonda says she’s grateful to everyone who looked after her.
