Metro North staff were among the first cohort of students to graduate from the new Graduate Certificate in Health Science (Health Services Innovation) at the University of Technology (QUT).

In conjunction with the Australian Centre for Health Services Innovation (AusHSI) and QUT, Metro North developed this new qualification aimed to increase the capacity of health professionals to implement innovative change in health services and evaluate their value.

This month, a cohort of 21 Metro Staff graduated with the certificate at a ceremony attended by their friends, family and colleagues.

Graduates of this new program learnt how to become mentors of implementation science, health service innovation and strong advocates for exploring cost-effectiveness with decision makers and fellow colleagues.

This program is ideal for clinicians who seek to undertake a specialisation that will meet their professional development needs. It offers flexibility with block attendance, external study and online learning for selected units.

Congratulations to everyone who has graduated with this certificate and good luck to the next cohort of Metro North staff who will undertake this incredible opportunity.
