Quokkas have infectious smiles, making them the perfect choice to decorate the paediatric specialist outpatient department at Caboolture Hospital - sure to pop a grin on our patients faces!

The six rooms in the department which see a variety of paediatric patients aged 0 - 16, now have a picture of an Australian animal on the front door, which were meticulously selected by nurses in the department like clinical care coordinators Tegan and Michelle.

"We chose an echidna, turtle, galah , koala, quokka, and kangaroo - we wanted to make the area more child friendly," Michelle said. 🐢🦘🐨

"The goal is to get stickers and wallpaper inside the rooms to theme with the animal that is on the front."
