Acute Care Team Mental Health

The Acute Care Team provides a centralised phone intake service for mental health services in the Redcliffe, Caboolture, Kilcoy and Bribie Island areas. The service offers comprehensive mental health assessment, treatment and support in managing mental health concerns.

Our services

You will speak to a caring professional about how you are feeling, and discuss services that may assist you either within or outside of the public mental health service. We may ask you to participate in a face-to-face assessment, which can happen in your home or at the mental health clinic.

Following the assessment, we will then discuss a plan for further mental health care and treatment with you. The plan may include inpatient admission or community mental health, GP or another non-government agency follow up appointments. We support people experiencing severe symptoms of, or presenting with mental health concerns such as:

  • depression and anxiety
  • schizophrenia and psychosis
  • bipolar disorder
  • severe personality disorder
  • drug and alcohol related problems, including psychosis.
