After a long break between newsletters, we’re back! This is a first for me, but I am excited to see these land in our inboxes each month.

2021 is set to be another big year for the Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford directorate. As always, patient safety and patient experience are our top priority.

We have already experienced a busy start to the year, with record-breaking patient demand, capacity challenges, re-accreditation, and COVID-19 response activities, but we have stepped-up to every challenge.

We have a great team made-up of great people, and I am so grateful to work alongside a team of people with a shared commitment to ensuring our patients receive the best care that we can offer.

We have already identified a range of quality and safety improvement initiatives to help us deliver patient-centered and attentive care and improve health outcomes. I look forward to working with you as we roll these out and continue to improve the patient experience.

I’m also excited to see the new Clinical Services Building and multi-storey carpark get underway and watch as the Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment Project starts to take shape.

Every day I look forward to coming into work and hearing inspirational stories of CKW teams going above and beyond and I’m pleased that our monthly newsletter will become a place to celebrate your successes and shine a light on the wonderful work happening across our directorate.
