One of our long-standing senior physicians, Dr Salih Bazdar passed peacefully with his family on Wednesday, 17 February 2021.

Dr Bazdar held the role of Clinical Director for Medicine and Older Persons Service (MOPS) from 2009 through to July 2020. More recently, he worked as one of our Senior Consultants for MOPS. He was a dedicated and compassionate senior physician who took his role seriously.

He was a passionate and tireless advocate for the health and wellbeing of our community and delivered the highest quality care to his patients and their loved ones. Salih was hardworking and took an active role in mentoring, supervising and coaching junior medical staff and new consultants. He was also a supportive and caring colleague who had an impact on everyone with whom he worked.

Aside from his incredible contribution to healthcare, Dr Bazdar was known for his wonderful character and his passion for leading an active life. He leaves an enormous legacy and will be greatly missed.
