Dear Colleagues,
Firstly, I would like to say happy Easter to staff, families and friends.
Metro North, as Queensland’s largest hospital and health service, is playing a critical role in keeping all Queenslanders safe during the pandemic.
The increasing number of cases from overseas and our recent Brisbane clusters requires consideration of options to ensure safe management of these cases and reduce potential transmission.
Minister for Health and Ambulance Services Yvette D’Ath indicated during this morning’s media conference that the RBWH was one option being considered to deliver dedicated care for COVID-19 positive cases.
The Metro North Executive team will continue to work closely with the Chief Health Officer and the health system on future options to keep Queenslanders safe and ensure staff are kept informed.
Regards,
Jackie
