Crazy Socks 4 Docs Day – is tomorrow Friday 3 June 2022
Individual tickets and tables are now on sale for the Metro North Staff Excellence Awards gala dinner.
As I’ve been preparing to finish up with Metro North, I’ve been reflecting on my time here over the past four years.
Metro North continues our commitment to staff wellbeing through many initiatives and resources.
There is much happening in our health service presently. Clearly COVID-19 is looming, and I continue to encourage you to encourage your family friends to get vaccinated.
Metro North Health and the University of Queensland School of Pharmacy have partnered to appoint a Professor of Safe and Effective Medication Research.
With so much activity surrounding the pandemic response, it’s easy to overlook some of the other achievements happening across the organisation. Recently we’ve celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Queensland Lung Transplant Service at TPCH. Since the service began in 1996, it has given more than 530 people a second chance at life.
I would like to invite you to the 2021 Metro North Health Safety and Quality Forum. The forum is an annual event for Metro North Health staf and consumers aimed at increasing awareness and highlighting excellence in safety and quality.
The past month has been very difficult for the whole service and the pressures are becoming very familiar to us all. Even with these pressures our staff continue to stand tall and provide the best possible care to our patients and residents.
Community and Oral Health (COH) is anticipated to become the lead directorate in Metro North Health (MN) for renewable solar energy. Green Metro North and Infrastructure Planning and Capital Projects Project Officer Drew Button said COH would be the initial beneficiary of Metro North Health’s commitment to improve sustainability and reduce emissions with renewable solar energy installed at many of its facilities.
