Message from the Executive Director Health Service Strategy & Planning: Colleen Jen

Dear colleagues,

A Metro North Cardiology Clinical Services Plan 2021-2026 is being developed. This Plan will articulate an evidence based five-year plan to deliver coordinated, sustainable, responsive and high quality cardiology services for adult residents of Metro North and beyond.

This is a joint project between Heart and Lung Clinical Stream, Directorates and Metro North Health Service Strategy and Planning. A planning process has been initiated, with a Project Steering Committee formed and chaired by Professor Peter Hopkins, Executive Director Heart and Lung Clinical Stream. A series of background papers are in development, which will inform the Plan’s strategies and actions, alongside extensive stakeholder consultation which will occur over three phases, to obtain expert opinion relating to planning issues, need and priorities.

Staff that are interested in contributing to the development of the Plan will have an opportunity through the phases of consultation. This could be through participation in targeted working groups for topic areas in Phase 1, Directorate consultation in Phase 2 or all staff feedback in Phase 3.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact myself or Jennifer Egan via MNHHS_PlanningStrategy@health.qld.gov.au.

Regards,

Colleen
