Redcliffe Hospital’s Pharmacy team won two prestigious awards at two different award ceremonies on the same night.
The Pharmacy department won both a Metro North Staff Excellence Award and an ACHS Quality Improvement Award.
Pharmacy Director Geoff Grima said the ACHS Quality Improvement Award was a prestigious national award.
“ACHS is Australia’s leading healthcare assessment and accreditation provider. This award recognises healthcare providers that provide excellence in clinical care, service delivery and innovation.
“Our Pharmacy team was recognised for the drive-through medication collection service, that was approved in March as part of the hospital’s COVID-19 response.”
Geoff said that the Metro North Staff Excellence Award in the Innovation category also recognised the Pharmacy team’s work with the staff influenza vaccination campaign, their perioperative pharmacist, and the new Better Together Medication Access program.
