RECOVER Injury Research Centre
RECOVER Injury Research Centre is a joint initiative of the Queensland Motor Accident Insurance Commission (MAIC) and The University of Queensland (UQ), located within the Herston Health Precinct at STARS. RECOVER conducts research, education, and service activities in two key areas:
- Technology-enabled rehabilitation – Led by Director, Professor Trevor Russell
- Improving health outcomes after musculoskeletal injury – Led by Professor Michele Sterling
RECOVER is associated with two other major research initiatives: the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Centre of Research Excellence in Better Health Outcomes for Compensable Injury and the NHMRC Centre for Research Excellence in Telehealth.
