Advanced Life Support – Level 2
- 2-day course focusing on developing advanced skills in managing the deteriorating patient and cardiac arrest
- Practical workshops and simulations providing skills including airway management, safe defibrillation, management of life threatening arrhythmias and leading a cardiac arrest team
- The course is very intensive, and candidates are sent the ALS 2 Manual one month prior to the course. Candidates are required to complete a pre-course multiple choice question paper to guide preparation
- Course is approved by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and provides certification recognised in Australia, New Zealand and Europe, valid for 4 years
Appropriate Participants:
Doctors and nurses working in critical care areas (eg. ED, ICU, CCU) or in the resuscitation/ medical emergency team and paramedics
Course Fees:
MNHHS staff: $500
All other participants: $750
