Invitation for GPs: Older Persons Mental Health

Metro North Health and Brisbane North PHN invite GPs to join your general practice colleagues and our panel of experts for an evening of education, networking and discussion.

As our population ages, GPs are caring for an increasing number of older patients, and depression is estimated to affect 10-15 per cent of people aged over 65 years. There can be diagnostic challenges in distinguishing mood symptoms and dementia
in this population, and this education event brings together specialists in old age psychiatry and geriatrics to discuss care of our older patients.
