TPCH welcomes new Executive Director
Only a few weeks into the job, Michele Gardner is excited about the prospect of leading one of Queensland’s best hospitals.
Her appointment as Executive Director of The Prince Charles Hospital follows a long series of clinical and executive leadership positions in the public and private sector which have given Michele a wealth of experience and skills in effectively leading and managing health care organisations.
Joining TPCH from Wide Bay Hospital Health Service where she was General Manager of Medicine, Michele has a keen interest in the delivery of safe and quality health services to patients, a focus harnessed during her last decade as an ACHS surveyor in both acute and mental health service settings.
“I am strongly committed to achieving exceptional patient care and finding ways to improve the journey and experience of our patients,” Michele said.
“Building positive connections with our consumers where we actively listen and consider their needs is an important part of being able to deliver patient centred care.”
As a leader, Michele is personally committed to building a strong and cohesive team environment which is dedicated to delivering excellent care to patients.
“I believe that if staff feel supported and satisfied at work, they are able to do a much better job in caring for our patients,” Michele said.
