We are pleased to announce the Herston Biofabrication Institute inaugural one day conference on March 22, 2019 in Herston, QLD, Australia. The theme of the conference is ‘Building Real World Clinical Impact’. The meeting is highly relevant to scientists, clinicians and industries interested in biofabrication, 3D scanning, 3D modelling, 3D printing, tissue engineering and augmented and virtual reality for healthcare.

The program includes clinical and academic presentations and demonstrations in all avenues of biofabrication, including orthopaedics, vascular surgery, burns and trauma, urology and cancer care services. The conference also features a Medical Device Engineering Design Challenge, where QUT engineering students team up to address design challenge proposed by MNHHS clinicians.

A Hospital of the Future Fashion Collection will be presented by QUT Creative Industries students.

Awards will be presented to the winning team of the Medical Device Engineering Design challenge, and to the best Poster presentation.
