The Strategic Plan 2016-2020 commits Metro North to embed health literacy in service delivery. As such in 2018 Metro North will implement a project for partnering with patients incorporating health literacy. The project has three components – staff education, a social marketing campaign for consumers to speak up and be involved in decisions about their care and development of tools for managers and leads to create safe and supportive environments.
