Smarter Smiles
Smarter Smiles is an initiative by Metro North Hospital and Health Services to engage with high school students, providing oral health education and improving access to free dental services.
Smarter Smiles is a free program designed to engage with high school students to reinforce the foundations of good oral hygiene habits and create a dental home with their local school public dental clinic. The whole school community can access education to improve their oral health habits. Teachers are invited to participate in a Continuing Professional Development component and better learn how to support their students if a dental trauma occurs at school. Year 7 and Year 10 students will be given the opportunity to access free oral health services onsite at their school.
