Kidney Health at RBWH
Kidney Health Service staff celebrated Kidney Health Week this year with a special focus on women’s health.
A variety of activities across MNHHS facilities were on offer! Pharmacy Department in-services were provided, alongside jelly bean guessing competitions, information sessions and a poster competition.
A number of medical and nursing staff gave up their time to support Kidney Health by taking blood pressures and providing education in relation to the importance of kidney health. More than 50 people also had blood pressure measurement done.
An inspirational story was provided by Michael Towell, a patient who has received a kidney transplant.
Prior to his transplant Michael discussed the impact his dialysis had on his life and the overwhelming benefit a transplant has provided him.
Thank you to all the staff and patients especially Michael Towell and Bethal O’Keefe who gave their time to promote and support Kidney Health.
