“We’ve covered a broad range of topics, from clinical practice and leadership to wellbeing and professional development, helping inform, educate and inspire healthcare professionals.”

Dr Crowe is proud that the podcast provides a platform for discussions on health issues that are not always part of mainstream conversation.

A recent episode explored perimenopause and menopause with general practitioner Dr Emily Watters, whose clinical practice focuses on women’s health.

“Perimenopause and menopause will affect half the population, yet it is still not widely discussed as a significant public health issue,” Liz said.

“Dr Watters shared valuable insights into why perimenopause should be treated as a public health priority and how we can translate emerging evidence into better clinical practice and improved access to care for women experiencing symptoms ”

Dr Crowe encourages nurses and midwives to explore the podcast as a resource for their ongoing professional development.

“Now is a great time to discover Five Things,” she said.

“There are more than 100 episodes available to explore, with many more thought-provoking and informative episodes still to come.”
