Staff member suspended

Metro North Hospital and Health Service has moved quickly to suspend a staff member from The Prince Charles Hospital who was charged overnight with a range of offences.

Chief Executive Shaun Drummond has immediately moved to suspend the staff member without pay and further HR action will be taken.

“We are a values-based organisation. Behaviour that doesn’t align cannot be tolerated,” Mr Drummond said.

Metro North’s Integrity Unit is working closely with Queensland Police Service to facilitate a full and thorough investigation.

As this matter is currently before the courts, it is not appropriate to comment further.
