Adult Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation ECMO Course 2025

This 4-day course will enable multidisciplinary teams with little ECMO experience to provide ECMO for patients with severe cardiac and respiratory failure.

"When I was six we moved to a small crop farm growing beans, peas, cabbages and cauliflowers. I left school at 13 and worked a number of jobs including dry cleaner deliveries, dairy farm work, and tip truck and loader driving. I was part of the teams that built the Borumba Dam spillway, the Thiess Ring Tank and the Coolmunda Dam and I settled at the Petrie paper mill, working shift work until I got 'the Golden Handshake' at 58. I've recently returned back to Esk and it hasn't changed much since the day I came out of the pouch."

As a relative newcomer to the Pharmacy team at Redcliffe Hospital, it didn't take Janine long to understand why some of the team have worked there for more than 25 years. 🗓️
Whether she's on the wards, in the dispensary, or working behind the scenes, Janine collaborates with a range of specialities to ensure patients receive the best possible outcomes.
"Our team works alongside pharmacists to help streamline medicine delivery and ensure safe practices when it comes to medication management," Janine says.
"No two days are the same. We help share the load of the busy pharmacy team, looking after vital tasks such as inventory management, prescription medication rooms on wards, and medication-related data entry."
