Lisa Wright

STARS Research Support Officer

Lisa is an occupational therapist and STARS Education and Research Alliance Research Support Officer. She completed her PhD in 2023 at The University of Queensland and was awarded the Dean’s award for outstanding contribution to occupational therapy. Her PhD focused on improving the use of evidence-based practices utilising implementation science theoretical approaches. She is experienced in mixed method research. Since completing her PhD Lisa’s research has focused on the lived experience of neuromuscular disorders and the evaluation of the Multidisciplinary Hospital Avoidance and Post Acute Care Service.

Lisa has been recognised for her innovation by being awarded the Collaborative for Allied Health Research, Learning and Innovation scholarship (2017), The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation (TPCH) New Researcher grant (2018), TPCH Foundation Research Equipment Grant (2019) and in 2020 she was the recipient of the TPCH Foundation PhD scholarship. In 2022, Lisa was a recipient of the Early Researcher Rising Star Award from The University of Queensland’s School of Health and Rehabilitation Science for demonstrating her great potential as an early career researcher and for outstanding contribution to the field of occupational therapy.
