Training Overview
Entry requirements to Training Program
- Successful completion of Basic Physician Training Program including both written and clinical exam components
Overview of Training Program
- Advanced training is a three (3) year program which includes:
- 12 months’ experience in General Medicine & General Medicine related (Chief Medical Registrar, Peri-Operative/orthogeriatric) programs
- 12 months’ experience in Subspecialty program (Respiratory, Cardiology, Geriatrics, etc).
- 12 months of non-core training
- TPCH is accredited for 24 months of training.
What rotations are recommended prior to applying
- Background experience in medical terms
How to improve your chances of selection
Demonstrate:
- Good communication skills
- Broad experience in medical terms
- Appreciation of value of team work
- Attend conferences such as the IMSANZ Annual Scientific Meeting
