Drop in clinic
On-site dental drop-in clinics will give year 10 students the opportunity to access free dental services at their high school and have their oral health concerns addressed. The mobile clinic will allow for examinations and students may be directed to a nearby public dental clinic for further dental services, if required.
Depending on individual eligibility, it may be the last year these students will be eligible to receive free dental treatment offered by Metro North Oral Health Services. Smarter Smiles would like to engage these students to ensure their oral health is optimal before leaving the system.
This will be communicated with parents and students once your school has engaged with the Smarter Smiles program and is likely to be offered up to twice a year.
Located on site in a classroom at your high school – updates will be posted by the school.
This is a free service for all students.
No, the students can drop in without a parent or guardian. However, a completed consent form is required to perform an oral health screening. If students present to the drop-in clinic without a completed form, the dental professionals will be happy to answer their oral health queries however no oral health screening can be performed.
