Redcliffe Hospital a finalist in IHF awards
Redcliffe Hospital has made the finals of the 2018 International Hospital Federation (IHF) Awards, which honour innovations and outstanding achievements in the healthcare industry around the world.
The hospital is a finalist in the finalists in the award for Quality and Safety and Patient-Centred Care for its ‘A Pharmacist-led Hospital-based Opioid Stewardship Service’.
The team recently brought home a national Health Roundtable Innovation Award as well as a Collaborative for Allied Health Research, Leaning and Innovation (CAHRLI) Translation to Practice Award for their Opioid Stewardship Service.
There are nine Australian healthcare organisations among the 27 international finalists.
Gold, silver and bronze awards in four categories will be announced in front of industry peers on 10 October 2018 during the 42nd World Hospital Congress at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The award categories are: the IHF/Dr Kwang Tae Kim Grand Award; and Excellence Awards in Leadership and Management in Healthcare; Quality and Safety and Patient-Centred Care; and Corporate Social Responsibility.
