Karina O’Leary

Conjoint Fellow, Interprofessional Education and Practice

Karina is the STARS Interprofessional Practice and Educator Coordinator. Karina leads a program of interprofessional education that provides opportunities for work integrated learning for students at STARS. This program develops students’ capacity to be competent members of interprofessional teams. Karina also works on innovative ways to enhance high functioning clinical interprofessional teamwork within STARS. With over 25 years’ experience as a physiotherapy clinician, educator and researcher, Karina has worked within teams across many clinical and academic settings. Her current research centres around her PhD program which seeks to understand and develop effective interventions to improve the functioning of healthcare teams in hospital settings.
