Professor Nadine Foster
NHMRC Investigator Fellow
Professor Nadine Foster is Director of The University of Queensland’s Clinical Trials Centre and an NHMRC Investigator Fellow. Nadine is a physiotherapist and international expert in musculoskeletal pain and orthopaedic research, with track record in developing, testing and implementing treatments and new models of care through randomised controlled trials. Nadine has published over 280 papers, been awarded over $123 million in grants for research in the UK and Australia, completed 31 randomised trials, and has supervised 15 PhD students to completion. Her research leadership has been recognised through personal awards including her NHMRC Investigator Fellowship, and previously two National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Senior Investigator awards and visiting fellowships at the Universities of Otago and Melbourne. Nadine has been recognised as a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy for her research and its impact for healthcare and improving outcomes for patients. Her focus is embedded applied clinical research developed with those with lived experience of health conditions that has positive impacts for health services, clinicians and consumers.
