During pregnancy, your body undergoes many changes and may experience some health issues along the way.

Before 14 weeks – early pregnancy problems

If you’re concerned about your pregnancy contact your GP or call 13 Health (13 43 25 84).

If you experience heavy bleeding or severe pain in early pregnancy, call Triple Zero (000) or visit your closest hospital emergency department.

After 14 weeks – pregnancy emergencies

For pregnancy emergencies after 14 weeks, contact the Women’s Emergency Obstetric Review Centre (ORC) by calling (07) 3647 3931.

Fetal abnormalities

Your doctor or midwife may refer you to Maternal Fetal Medicine if they are concerned about your baby. Fetal imaging services include first trimester screening, routine and tertiary morphology, monitoring multiple pregnancies and fetal growth and wellbeing.
