Acute Care Mental Health
The Acute Care Service is the first point of access for all referrals to the RBWH Mental Health Service for people over 18 years. The service offers a comprehensive mental health assessment, treatment and support in managing mental health concerns in the short term.
We provide support through understanding the consumer’s needs and making a mental health plan that suits them. We can visit their home, GP’s office, or see them in the clinic.
Our service supports consumers experiencing a range of mental health concerns including:
- mood disorders
- anxiety disorders
- substance use disorders.
Our team has a range of mental health professionals including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses and occupational therapists.
