Mental Health Homeless Health Outreach

We provide a mental health assessment, treatment and support service for homeless people who are experiencing mental health or drug and alcohol issues.

We work with people who may be sleeping rough, couch surfing or staying in emergency accommodation within a 5km radius of the General Post Office, Brisbane.

Our services

We support people with:

  • psychosis
  • mood disorders
  • anxiety disorders
  • substance use disorders.

Our service works closely with other community services and in many settings including homeless shelters, drop-in centres, food vans and parks.

The treating team is made up of a range of mental health professionals including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, occupational therapists and Indigenous mental health workers.

How to access this service

Call 1300 MH CALL (1300 64 22 55). You do not need a referral letter from your doctor to access this service.
