Associate Professor Dwarakanathan Ranganathan
Eminent Specialist, Kidney Health Services at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital RBWH and Associate Professor, School of Medicine, Griffith University
Dwaraka Ranganathan has more than 30 years of experience in caring renal patients. He has published numerous articles in the journals and presented several abstracts in the conferences. He has passion in teaching and cherish research. He is a principal investigator of many investigator-initiated trials and in recent times obtained grant for $ 200,000. He is a steering committee member of numerous clinical trials as well as the Australian Lupus Registry and Biobank. He took steps to establish Queensland Renal biopsy Registry, a first of its kind in Australia. He is a member of Rare Clinical Diseases Research Network- Vasculitis Clinical Research Consortium and a member of Australia New Zealand Vasculitis Group. He is one of the founding members of Southern Chapter of Indian Society of Nephrology and Australasian Chapter of International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis.
He is an educational ambassador and Mentor of International Society of Nephrology. He is a fellow of American Society of Nephrology. and lead. He collaborates (nationally and internationally) in many research areas including glomerulonephritis, autoimmune renal disorders and home dialysis.
