Carol-Ann is a registered Senior Genetic Counsellor, specialising in Cancer Genetics. Carol-Ann trained at the Royal Prince Alfred and Liverpool hospitals in NSW and has worked in research for the Children’s Hospital, Randwick. She has worked within the health setting for over a decade and has a focus on patient centred care. Given her experience in the Cancer Genetics setting, Carol-Ann is eager to promote access to genetic testing and appropriate resources for individuals and their families; ensuring understanding of complex genetic information and appropriate risk management advice.
In addition to her clinical roles, Carol-Ann has made additional professional contributions; serving as the treasurer for the Australasian Society of Genetic Counsellors from 2020 – 2023, developing evidence based clinical guidelines as a reference committee member for the Cancer Institute’s eviQ Cancer Reference Committee, assisting as an associate investigator for multiple research studies, and serving as an allied health liaison.
