Dr Oonagh's workshops at Redcliffe Hospital are improving staff skills and knowledge, preparing them for real-life emergencies. 🚨🚑

Dr Oonagh leads hands-on workshops training staff on safer transfers for critically ill patients.

“I’m passionate about both education and retrieval medicine and am working to improve staff knowledge and patient outcomes in this area,” Dr Oonagh said.

From moving critically ill patients quickly with care and dignity to mastering teamwork and communication, these adrenaline-pumping scenarios are designed to feel very real to everyone involved.

“There was an ambulance on site for the workshop to enable participants to work together and with their QAS colleagues in an environment they may encounter in the real world.”🩺

Now in its third year, Dr Oonagh is eager to expand the reach of the workshops beyond Redcliffe Hospital to improve outcomes for more patients.
