Queensland Health Spirometry Training Program – Virtual workshop
The Spirometry training program provides clinicians with the skills, knowledge and specific competencies required to perform spirometry to international standards and Queensland Health guidelines.
Advanced Life Support – Level 1 Course
Level 1 courses are for those clinicians who want general competence in airway management and basic life support for a deteriorating patient and cardiac arrest. Suitable if you normally are part of team rather than the lead.

"I've been here about 4 months, I'm enjoying it. I had a fall last year which meant I did a lot of physio at Redcliffe Hospital and then moved in here. I've made a few friends and come out for happy hour or when the rock and rollers come out, but still getting used to things. I never learnt to crochet but I do crosswords to pass the time and I want to get back into knitting. You've just got to enjoy life, try and be happy and get on with things."

The staff and volunteers at Gannet House are amazing. It’s a great place to live Marilyn looking at the ocean is wonderful. My mum was there for 7 years in Ebbtide House. ( when it was also aged care). Such a shame there is not more availability for aged care residents as there used to be.

My dad was in there just shy of 9 years. The most amazing staff worked there then (and some of them still do today). I couldn't fault them at all, always went above and beyond. Recommend this place to anyone xx

Gannet house is one of the best Nursing homes in Qld Metro North Health. The staff are amazing, caring, and so friendly. Nothing is too much trouble ❤️

It’s not when you’re Claustrophobic closed in feeling closed in if I can feel the walls touching my arms to close and if the roof is down low I stress . I have had them but I have to have valema I think 🤔 that’s how spells . The noise is terrible but afraid they can’t here me if I call them . I haven’t had one for over a few years last time it took 3 goes to get in . Plus I also have a problem now that my left side in my shoulder blade and chest has cramps and tightness so when lying in there you can’t move so I am in pain . So how do we fix that .
No. It's awful. I want to vomit when I am in there. And I have done that. 😔
Mandy has one of the most important roles at Redcliffe Hospital, but you've probably never heard of it!
She's the Clinical Nurse Consultant for Mortality who ensures that care continues beyond the end of a patient's life.
"I sit under the patient safety team and review all of the deaths in the hospital, I do an analysis and clinical review of the care that was provided, looking at what was done well but also if there were any issues," Mandy said.
"Each day I see who we've got in the morgue and work with mortuary supervisor, the mortuary only holds 15 so we need to ensure everything is reviewed before releasing the body to the coroner or the funeral home.
"I didn’t even know that this role existed to be honest, I got into nursing because I loved being a nurse and I'd look after every patient like they were my family.
"It’s really important to be a voice for someone that can’t have a voice anymore."
