Camron is a registered Senior Genetic Counsellor working in the cancer service of Genetic Health Queensland. Camron has specialised in cancer genetics for almost fifteen years, with experience both locally and interstate. She is involved in the development of evidence based genetic testing and risk management guidelines as a member of the Cancer Institute’s eviQ Cancer Genetics Reference Committee. Additionally, Camron has a keen interest in health communication and has created patient resources for eviQ and other patient groups.
Camron is passionate about ensuring rural and remote patients have access to genetic services. Although she is based in our Brisbane office, Camron has worked solely via Telehealth for close to a decade. In addition to her work in cancer genetics, Camron has experience in reproductive genetics and can discuss the reproductive options available to patients with a hereditary cancer syndrome. Alongside her clinical work, Camron is actively involved in various research projects, patient groups, professional bodies, and the education of non-genetic health professionals in the counselling and ordering of genetic tests for their patients.
