Dr James Hughes
Dr Hughes is an experienced emergency nurse who completed his PhD in 2018. He currently supports the research activities of the Emergency and Trauma Centre at the RBWH. He has an interest in identifying the way workload affects the emergency department’s ability to care for its patients and in acute pain care in the ED. Dr Hughes supervises students at all levels from honours and coursework master’s students to clinicians undertaking research higher degrees. He holds a conjoint appointment with the School of Nursing at QUT.
