"I have a pulse, I can stand and I am alive."

These words of wisdom come from Richard who is non-verbal after having a stroke six weeks ago. Though he hasn't let this bring his spirit down. He communicates by speaking some words like yes and no and by writing. His goal is to get talking again and is working twice daily with speech therapists to regain his speech.
