For graduate perioperative nurse Frankie, the opportunity to be immersed in a team of experienced health professionals at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH) has been the icing on the cake of her studies 🍰

After graduating from Australian Catholic University Clinical School in 2024, Frankie is now working at TPCH as a Registered Nurse (RN). She recently started a rotation in cardiac theatres where she is part of the team who sets up for complex cases including heart transplants, coronary artery bypass grafts and valve replacements.

“Knowing that I have been part of procedures that will help someone for the rest of their life is really rewarding,” she said.

“I have had amazing experiences at TPCH. Everyone is so friendly and always willing to teach you.”

Want to follow in Frankie’s footsteps? TPCH is inviting high school students to learn more about a career in nursing at the TPCH Nursing Career Expo on Friday 16 May from 12pm to 6pm.

Think security is just about checks and patrols? At The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH), Security Officers like Callum have a dynamic role, providing a visible presence, responding to staff and patient emergencies, offering support, and managing access.

"It's a physically active role. All that patrolling? My daily cardio! We even have step competitions with the team to see who does the most steps throughout their workday," said Callum. 🏃‍♂️‍➡️

But the real reward? "Knowing you're contributing to staff and patient safety. You genuinely help people and make a difference every day." 💕

After two years, Callum takes pride in a job where every interaction offers a chance to learn and understand different people with diverse perspectives. If you're looking for a role that offers physical activity, personal growth, and the chance to contribute meaningfully in the healthcare sector, consider joining our Protective Services team at TPCH. Thank you for everything you do!

Love your work team, always feel safe with you ladies and gents around 😁

The security team were doing a phenomenal job last night working collaboratively with the ED team to assist with 2 mental health clients.

There is also the Mental Health clinic too We often see people wondering about the area either high on drugs or in their own mental state not watching crossing roads and just walking through peoples yards

Good on you guys, great team!

Great officers and a great team!

Legends- love your work!!

You do a great job Thank you

Some months ago, I was in TPCH a&e when an affected woman was brought in by ambos screaming and squawking that she couldn't breath. Two security guards walked in, took her firmly in hand, one either side of her, and escorted her to the psych ward.

Our security team at CABOOLTURE hospital are top notch. Working in mental health we see them a lot! Professional and courteous and always working to keep us nurses and consumers safe ❤️

Good job TPCH security yous are fantastic at your jobs especially callum well done guys
