A new car park has added 1165 new car parking spaces to the Herston Health Precinct

The new multi-storey car park has been delivered by Australian Unity as part of the redevelopment of Herston Quarter and will be managed by private car park operator, IPG and operated by Wilson Parking.

Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) Executive Director Louise Oriti said that it is great to have more car parking available at for RBWH patients, visitors, and staff.

“The new car park will provide an additional 1165 car parking spaces, including 24 accessible car parking spaces on levels 1,2,3,6,7 and 8 and 45 motorcycle bays,” she said.

Vehicles can enter the new car park (P2) on the ground level from Kauri Pine Street off Butterfield Street or from level 7 on Jacaranda St. Exit is from Kauri Pine St only.

Parking costs will initially range from $2 for first 30 minutes to a maximum daily rate capped at $19. Fates for staff apply, and are rates are set by the car park operator

Concession parking is available for people who are experiencing financial hardship, who need to attend hospital frequently, who attend for an extended period of time, or have other special considerations. More information about concessional parking is available from the RBWH website.

The new car park (P2) is located in close proximity to the existing Butterfield St car park (P1) and both can be accessed via Butterfield Street, Herston.

Both car parks are managed by Wilson Parking and parking information is available from their website.
