Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Graduates
Metro North Health is committed to providing equity of access to high quality health care services and building relationships based on inclusion with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their communities and remains committed to achieve life expectancy parity for Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples by 2031.
As part of this commitment, nursing and midwifery is actively increasing the nursing and midwifery Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce through the Deadly Start Program, Indigenous Cadetships Program, and the employment of graduate Enrolled and Registered Nurses and Midwives.
Metro North Health prioritises nursing and midwifery graduates who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander for positions.
Positions are offered in all clinical areas and all graduates will receive a supported transition.
