Metro North Research Ethics and Governance Information Clinics are available to provide advice on ethical and governance requirements for research in Metro North.
Are you thinking of starting a research project in Metro North, but unsure about the potential ethics and governance requirements for your project? We welcome you to register for an Ethics and Governance Information Clinic to obtain advice on ethical and governance requirements before you submit your project for review and approval.
Before you register
- All clinic bookings must be related to a research project – clinical audit and quality assurance projects do not require an ethics and governance clinic booking. Please refer to the exemption from ethical review page for more information.
- The research project must be intended for review by the Metro North HREC and a Metro North RGO
- A copy of the draft protocol must be provided when submitting a booking.
- Consider your primary questions so that you can best utilise the booking timeslot.
Clinic bookings
Clinics are scheduled for 30 minutes.
The appropriate staff will be allocated based on the research protocol and the questions asked.
Staff from the Metro North Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC), Research Governance Office (RGO), Finance and Clinical Trials Monitoring are available to provide advice.
