    Research Grants offered by the Metro North Office of Research

    Metro North Health offers a series of grants specifically targeted to increase research capacity across Metro North.

    Clinician Research Fellowships 

    The Clinician Research Fellowships program is specifically designed to allow Metro North’s emerging and highly skilled clinician researchers to develop and advance a body of research aligned to the Metro North Research Strategy.

    Pre-RHD Scholarships 

    Pre-Research Higher Degree (RHD) Scholarships enable clinicians to further develop their research plan, methodology and supervision plans, with the goal of achieving enrolment in a Research Higher Degree (Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Masters of Philosophy (MPhil)

    SWIFT Grants 

    The Swift Grants Program fosters a supportive environment to maximise research opportunities and creates opportunities to generate new knowledge through research across all facilities in Metro North Health

    Collaborative Research Grants 

    The Collaborative Research Grants enable new collaborative research between clinicians, academics and scientists with the potential to lead to ongoing research of direct benefit to Metro North Health patients and the community.

    Metro North Grants

    Nursing and Midwifery Research Internships 

    The Metro North and QUT Nursing and Midwifery Research Internship enables Metro North Nurses and Midwives to undertake research under the guidance and direction of a QUT Nursing Researcher and supports the career and professional development for nurses/midwives.

    RBWH Research Grants 

    The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH), with the generous support of the Study, Education and Research Trust Account (SERTA) Advisory Committee and the RBWH Foundation offers a grant suite that supports RBWH staff to undertake original and highly innovative research projects.

    TPCH Research Grants 

    The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH) Foundation, The Common Good, offer a wide variety of research grants for TPCH staff designed to advanced research and health outcomes for the TPCH community.

    RBWH Foundation Research Grants

    RBWH Foundation Grants are intended to provide financial support for RBWH, STARS and Institutes on the Herston Health Precinct to undertake projects (including research) that improve patient outcomes at RBWH and STARS.
