Metro North Health is proud to host the annual Metro North Health Research Summit.

    • Venue: Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre

    This annual event brings together health care professionals and expert minds involved in health and medical research to consider an emerging topic of importance to our community. The summit will provide an excellent opportunity to hear from, network and engage with some of the leading experts in health and medical research.

    The 2025 Metro North Health Research Summit will focus on the transformation of healthcare through innovation. The program will address innovation in healthcare across a variety of key themes, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, Artificial Intelligence (AI), precision medicine, genomics and the importance of research innovation in statewide health services like the future Queensland Cancer Centre (QCC).

    This premiere event will commence with an introduction from the Director General of Queensland Health, will feature local, national and international experts in health and medical research, and will conclude with an afternoon networking session on the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre Plaza North Terrace.

    Dr Karl Kruszelnicki AM

    Dr Karl Kruszelnicki AM just loves science to pieces, and has been spreading the word in print, on TV and radio, and online for more than thirty years.

    Professor Grant McArthur AO

    Professor Grant McArthur AO is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and holds a Ph.D. in Medical Biology.

    Dr Natalie Pageler

    Dr. Natalie Pageler is a board-certified paediatric intensivist and clinical informaticist. She is the Associate Dean for Maternal and Child Health (Clinical Informatics)
