Nursing & Midwifery Research Internships 2020-21
Nurse-led research is essential for safe, effective and person-centred care. The QUT-Metro North Nursing Research Internships build collaborative partnerships between frontline clinicians with great ideas for service improvement and expert nurse researchers who coach and mentor interns over a 12-month scholarship. The scheme supports professional development and career progression for clinical nurses, offering a pathway to PhD study. Collaborative clinical research benefits patient, team and organisational outcomes by facilitating workplace learning, development and improvement. Ultimately, the internships are enabling research capacity and culture across the health service.
