Dear colleagues,

Queensland community cases

Queensland recorded two new community cases of COVID-19. One is linked to an existing cluster and the other was acquired interstate. We remain on Stage 2 of the roadmap provide by the Queensland Government. For detailed information about what you can and can’t do, please inspect the online version.

Contact tracing

As authorities continue looking into these recent cases in Queensland, please make sure you’re doing your bit – regularly check the contact tracing website to see new and updated exposure sites.

Mask reminder

You must carry a face mask with you at all times when you leave home.

  • Public transport and ride share: must wear a mask including while waiting for the transport in a public space such as the bus stop.
  • Outdoors: you must wear a mask when unable to stay 1.5 m apart from people who are not part of your household.
  • Indoors: you must wear a mask in indoor spaces (but not your own home).
  • At Metro North staff must always wear a mask while on campus.

Are you still checking in?

Checking in helps our contact tracers get information faster and more accurately. In the event of any further outbreaks, please be sure you are still checking in everywhere you go. This icon in the top right-hand side of your screen keeps recent visits, it’s a good tip to use when visiting regularly places such as work or your local shops.

The next 24 hours are critical, do your part by wearing a mask, practicing good social distancing and hand hygiene and get tested if you have any symptoms, even minor.

Long weekend

For those who will be enjoying a long weekend, please have fun and stay safe – we cannot drop the ball yet with our COVID safety measures. If you’re working over the long weekend at one of our facilities, fever clinics or vaccination hubs, THANK YOU! The next 24-48 hours will be important in determining Queensland’s next move.

Regards,

Louise O’Riordan
