Message from the Metro North Health Incident Controller – COVID-19 update 405 | 10/05/2022
Dear colleagues,
- Current situation
- COVID staff debrief survey
- Flu vaccination
Current situation
Metro North remains in Tier 3 of our COVID response plan. There are 6566 new COVID cases reported in Queensland today.
Today we have 411 staff out of the workplace as close contacts or with COVID.
Metro North is still in the high risk PPE category, which means PPE is required in all areas, including flat surgical masks in non-clinical areas.
We are working on our respiratory plan and winter strategies which will be discussed in next week’s vidcast.
COVID staff debrief survey
The anonymous COVID staff debrief survey is still open for feedback and local Teams sessions are happening throughout the week.
If you haven’t yet provided feedback, please share your thoughts about what aspects of our COVID response we should incorporate into our future planning or into business as usual, and where we need to improve.
Flu vaccination
We are seeing an increase in flu cases each week in Queensland, so now is the time to get vaccinated if you haven’t had this year’s jab.
Flu vaccinations are available for staff at each of our hospitals and in Community and Oral Health facilities. You can also get a flu vaccine from your GP or local pharmacy.
Regards,
Louise O’Riordan
Metro North Health Incident Controller
