Metro North Health Incident Controller

Dear colleagues,

It’s my first weekend back in the Metro North EOC for quite a while so I am going to keep this message short and sweet!

Over the last 24 hours, Queensland have recorded three new positive COVID-19 cases. These cases where all in quarantine when diagnosed and are linked to the current Brisbane Youth Detention Centre and Corrections Academy Cluster.

Queensland Health have a list online of current contact tracing alerts. Anyone who has visited the mentioned locations at the mentioned times should monitor their health and get tested should even the mildest symptoms occur.

Due to low number of presentations we have made the decision to suspend our Redcliffe Showgrounds Community Assessment Clinic. The situation will be closely monitored, and should the need arise, it will be re-established. The clinic at Redcliffe Hospital remains open and is continuing to test patients.

Kind regards,
Mark Butterworth
