Message from the Metro North Health Incident Controller – COVID-19 update 394 | 20/04/2022

Dear colleagues,

  • Tier four status update
  • COVID-19 staff debrief survey
  • Friday’s vidcast

Today there were 8,995 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Queensland.

Tier four status update

Metro North Health remains at tier four of our COVID response plan. Our COVID response tier will be reviewed and reassessed again tomorrow morning.

Across our health service today, there are 667 health workers and staff unable to attend work because of COVID-19 reasons. This continues to have significant impacts on many clinical areas.

We’re grateful to the 107 staff who have agreed to come back to work through the Critically Essential Worker process. This process is not appropriate for everyone, but if you are a close contact and think it may be an option for you, please talk to your line manager.

COVID-19 staff debrief survey

Today, we’re launching the next part of our debriefing process around our COVID-19 response. The COVID-19 staff debrief survey is a short questionnaire that asks for your reflections, feedback, and ideas about what we have learnt from the pandemic. The survey only takes about four minutes and your input will play a critical part in the development of our Transition to Recovery Plan. The survey will be open for the next two weeks. If you can, please take the survey today.

Friday’s vidcast

Our next vidcast will be this Friday at 10am. Metro North’s Chief Executive Jackie Hanson and Acting Executive Director Human Resources Peter Patmore will be available to answer your questions. If you can’t join live, recordings of previous COVID vidcasts and Executive vidcasts are available online.

Regards,

Louise O’Riordan
Metro North Health Incident Controller
