Metro North Health Incident Controller

23 November 2021

Dear colleagues,

We will continue wearing masks across Metro North for the next seven days. This approach is in line with our colleagues in other HHSs and will be reviewed again next week.

As we approach Queensland’s 80% double COVID-19 vaccination target, we all need to link our vaccination certificate to the Check In Qld app.

This is very easy and quick:

  1. Make sure you’ve got the most up to date version of the Check in Qld app
  2. Login to the Medicare app (download if you don’t have it)
  3. Click on ‘proof of vaccination’ and ‘view history’
  4. Select ‘share with Check In app’
  5. Choose the Check In Qld app.

This will direct you to the Medicare app and ask for confirmation to link the information. You’ll see a green tick beside your name on the Check In Qld app.

As soon as we reach 80% double vaccination rate for the state, there will be restrictions for unvaccinated people entering our facilities except for specific reasons. At the same time, other restrictions in the community will be lifted. Our working group is meeting daily to plan how we manage these requirements and I’ll update you on what we’re doing to manage unvaccinated visitors and people working on our sites soon.

If you’re due for your COVID booster, you can bring your ID and Medicare card to any of our vaccination clinics to get your next dose.

Regards,

Louise O’Riordan
